Fairport Swimming & Star Swimming are looking forward to hosting you all this year in downtown Buffalo, NY at the Burt Flickinger Athletic Center for the Eastern Zone Short Course Age Group Championships on April 1-4, 2026.

We've been working hard on ensuring this year's meet is a great experience for your athletes, coaches, and families. With that said, here a few things to note as we get closer to this year's meet:

• The meet announcement is currently being finalized by the Eastern Zone. Once finalized, it will be posted at the end of the month.
  
  
• We have added the 50s of stroke for the 13-14 age group throughout the order of events.
  
  
• Time standards have been adjusted slightly for all age groups. Updated qualifying times have been posted on the Eastern Zone website, an eligibility report file for Team Manager will also be available at the end of the month.
  
  
• OME will be opening in the beginning of February. A specific date will be posted on the USA Swimming website/OME entry process soon.
  
  
• We have numerous rooms booked at area hotels at discounted rates for use by your coaching staff, athletes, officials, and families. CLICK HERE to view room rates.
  
  
• We are currently in negotiations with area parking garages & lots for discounted/group rates on parking for the meet, to keep it as affordable & convenient as possible for all those attending. Parking information is TBA as we get closer to the meet.
  
  
• The Application to Officiate is now open. Please tell your participating families that are officials to sign up. Those who work four (4) sessions get a free white polo shirt. We will need all hands on deck.
  
  
• This year's meet will feature numerous open spaces away from the pool deck for athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators to get out of the pool area, relax, and unwind between events & sessions. ECC has many open spaces, such as the lower & upper lobbies, gymnasium (which we will be turning into a "swim expo"), and classrooms.
  
  
• A unique feature of ECC is its indoor track, which will be open for all coaches and ADULT spectators throughout the meet.
  
  
• Visit Buffalo & the Buffalo Sports Commission will be on-site throughout the meet to give recommendations on places to go, places to see, and Buffalo's top rated restaurants. Alternatively, you can ask Coach TJ from STAR for his daily recommendation, he's a Buffalo food connoisseur and will send you to the right place!
