Here is the meet schedule, warm-up and timing assignment information for Holiday Classic XXVIII 12/15/25

Holiday Classic XXXVIII Timer Sign Up

Links from Rutgers for both Parking and Spectator Tickets will be posted to the Be Smartt website when available.

Timeline Notes & Clarifications: Note that on Friday and Saturday the doors will not open until 8:00am, as Rutgers Varsity will be practicing those mornings.  On Sunday, Rutgers requested a 7:00am opening.

Finals Warm-ups and Notes: 75-Minutes prior to the Start of Finals (Fri 5:45pm, Sat 6:00pm, Sun 5:00pm), we will open 6 lanes in the Dive Pool for swimmers competing at Finals.  As soon as the afternoon session finishes Olympic A will be open.

We will also have at least one lane in the Dive Pool designated for 1-Way Starts throughout ALL sessions.

There will be A and B Finals for 13-14 Events, and A,B & C Finals for Open Events, except for the 13-14 500/400 IM which has just an A final.

Due to the number of heats and the late start, we will not be able to announce swimmers behind the blocks, but we will be announcing names and teams in the water.

Important Update for Friday 500 Freestyle Events:

Session 2 (Friday Midday) now Includes All 500 Freestyle Events – Except 12 & unders

To conform to the 4-hour session time limit in the afternoon timed finals, we have moved the 14&U and 15&O 500 Freestyle Events #107,108,109,110 to the end of the midday session.

Swimmers competing in these rescheduled events will not be eligible to make finals, and their heats will swim after all heats of the morning 500 Freestyle events #203, #204, #205, & #206 have swum.

Check-in for these Events #107,108,109,110 will be 12:00pm. Warm-up will be in the dive pool starting at 11:30am. These events are scheduled to start at approximately 12:45pm.

We anticipate the Open Prelim events #205-206, will start at 11:45am. Warm-up will be in the dive pool with warm-up in the main pool only if time allows.

Please refer to the meet announcement “500-Free” section for how the prelim heats will be swum.

The morning 13-14 500-freestyle events #203-#204 are timed finals, with the fastest heat competing at finals, and all other heats racing in the midday session 2.

All Swimmers must provide their own Timers (required) and Counters (if desired).

The 12 & Under 500 free events (#105-#106) will remain in the afternoon session and swim after the opening relays as scheduled.

1000 and 1650 Freestyle Events: The fastest heats of the Open 1000 and 1650 will compete at finals on Saturday and Sunday respectively, with other heats swimming in the midday session (#6 & #10).

Swimmers in these midday sessions must provide their own timers and counters. Swimmers competing at finals will need their own counters (if desired).

Psych Sheets will be posted on besmarttinc.com Tuesday morning. Time updates will be accepted until noon on Monday.

EEX Warm Clothing Drive: We would really, truly be grateful if you could please publicize and promote the EEX Warm Clothing Drive this year. Our swimmers still train outside into December, so this drive has particular significance to us, as we hope to bring some much needed warmth to our local community this winter. We will be accepting donations at the door all three days, we are especially looking for socks, hats, gloves, scarves, and underwear. Simple Stuff that will make a real difference to those facing cold conditions this holiday season. Please see the flyer, and thank you for helping to spread the warmth!

Toy Drive: The NJ Swimming Athletes Committee will also be conducting a Toy Drive for foster children and the Boys & Girls Club. Please see the flyer and consider contributing.
