Coach Val is an assistant coach.

Coach Val began coaching with CAT in 2020 and previously coached for the West Essex YMCA. Val was drawn to CAT by the level of dedication of our coaches and swimmers. CAT kids swim well and usually have great results, but that success directly correlates to the amount of effort that they put in at practice. The expectation for kids to attend practice and work hard leads to great things.

One of her proudest moments in coaching came  last season when a swimmer that she’d worked with closely for the past few years qualified for Eastern Zones in 100 breaststroke and placed in the top 16 at Junior Olympics. 

Val has always enjoyed spending as much time as possible near the water. 

Val graduated from George Washington University in 3.5 years with a degree in International Affairs. She’s worked in philanthropy for the past five years and hopes to travel all over the world.
