For those of you who are confused about who is swimming in what session at any meet. This question is one of the big things you can pull from a Meet Info Packet. Which we always post on the website once it's been determined that this is a meet that we are attending (please keep in mind this is preliminary information only and should not be relied on as a final timeline).

Meet Info Packet is the preliminary meet information that is posted when we receive a sanction to be able to run a meet under USA Swimming. This is what needs to be approved for any team to be able to host a meet that is approved by our governing body. It won't ever be edited after having received the sanction, so a lot of times it will contain TBD for timelines as these are determined after entries are received.

HOWEVER, what you can pull from this packet is the following:

1. Location. It will always list the address you are looking for.

2. Cost. All meets vary in price. Sometimes they charge you a surcharge as part of the entry and other times they charge each spectator who walks into the meet. Whatever it is, it will be listed here and needs to be approved ahead of time. (You do not cut a check for the meet, the team submits a team check for entries and you get billed after the fact).

3. Session details are listed with the events as well as other details. As an example, this is what a meet may look like.

     Sat AM - 13 over - 7am warm-up / 8am session start
Sat Mid - 13 over distance events - time TBD
Sat PM - 12 under (ages 9-12) - time TBD
     Sun AM - 13 over - 8am warm-up / 9am session start
Sun Mid - 13 over distance events - time TBD
Sun PM - 12 under (ages 9-12) - time TBD

Please keep in mind that, occasionally, after a host team has had the opportunity to process the entries, they may find it necessary to either split or combine sessions to make the weekend work. This will all be announced closer to the meet weekend when the finalized schedule gets posted. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen.

You do not have to worry about the waivers in this packet, cutting checks or some of the other details that are provided. That will be taken care of by the team. Just know that you don't need to act on anything that is in this packet, it is for your information only.
