Practices, Pools and Parking

Building Entry

The doorbell must always be used and the doors leading to the pool must always be shut. If you ever see them open, please help keep the building safe by closing them. We may use the pool, but the rest of the school building is off limits.

Parking, Drop-off and Pick-up

You may NOT

• park, idle, drop off or pick up your child on the street immediately in front of the school (even if you’re throwing them out the door while you slow down!)

Please, please, please -- this is a safety hazard.

You may:

• pass the school; stop on the curb (on the school side of Lloyd Road); and ask your swimmer to take the sidewalk up to the pool.
• park in a parking spot along the football field on Lloyd Road.
• park further up on the school side of Lloyd Road just past the school (permitted after 6pm).
• park in the Walden Place parking lot located on the other side of the football field.
• park in the MKA teacher’s lot behind MKA (permitted after 5:30 pm). *Park closest to the top of the hill and use the walking path to come around the back of the gym to the pool entrance.

Parents at Practice

Parents are welcome to drop off or stay for practices. Please sit either in the stands, at the table on the north side of the pool or in the office. If you choose the office, you’ll have a great view of the pool, a place to relax or do some work and, an added bonus to all, you can help buzz people in the door. Please do not sit on the pool deck. Please do not communicate with your child or your child’s coach during practice.
